Nowadays, Chinese pop music (C-pop or mando-pop) has almost become the only mainstream market in China music industry. The top 5 record labels in China are Hong Kong Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG music), Beijing Warner Music, HIM International Music (Taiwan), EE-Media and Taihe Rye Music. EE-Media became famous after the success of Super girl and Super boys, the national singing contests broadcast by Hunan satellite Television. On one hand, the company will make contracts with the winners and contestants who have gift in singing in a relatively low price when they are not famous that much, on the other hand, the new stars could be employed to release music records or EP (extended play) and extend their fame based on a large number of fans. However, music records industry was shocked by the penetration of the free online music, especially in China, where a high piracy rate exists. According to the statistics, in 2009, the sales of the whole physical market sharply decreased by nearly 40%, reached 130 million, even less than the revenue of a game company in China.
