Condenast Daxue Consulting

Condé Nast, a well know mass media company founded in 1909 launched its first Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London in 2013. November 2015, Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design (康泰纳仕时尚设计培训中心) in Shanghai opened, stepping in the fashion education industry in China. Courses offered include Fashion Media and Digital Communication; Fashion Marketing and Branding; E-commerce for Fashion and Luxury; Fashion Illustration for Beginners; Experimental Fashion Illustration; The Little Black Dress (Design, Cut and Make a Classic Style); Dress for Success, The Universe of Perfume, and Fashion Photography and Styling.

 

Daxue Consulting cooperated with Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design and offered lectures relating to the fashion business, including a lecture from Daxue’s CEO Matthieu David-Experton. Courses are designed to incorporate real industry demands, and course contents are closely aligned with real-world practices. Lectures as well as group projects, and individual assignments make up the core part of the course. Courses are targeted to young professional to learn and broaden their knowledge about fashion businesses as well as university students who are interested in learning more about the fashion business. Through a series of courses, participants can learn and gain insights on the major players in the global fashion industry, the process of product development, marketing, and retail, the basics of fashion marketing, key principles of digital marketing, an overview of e-commerce and fashion events management.

 

Daxue Consulting, with its marketing expertise in the Chinese market, including the fashion industry, has worked with various international clients who wish to enter the Chinese market. From the opening of Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design until now, Daxue Consulting has collaborated with Condé Nast, offering courses specifically catered to the Chinese market. Over the duration of the course, students are expected to understand the following:

  1. Analysing and understanding consumer behaviours to better market to targeted consumers.
  2. Understanding core concepts involving customer segmentation, customer experiences, and customer relationship managements.
  3. Understanding different methodologies of research and presentation skills.
  4. Grasp key data analysis concepts and analytical concepts to utilise during targeted topic.
  5. Have a brief understanding of the key research tools and be able to implement research into plans.
  6. Able to analyses advertisements to better understand the reason behind specific choices of different advertisements.
  7. Understand and avoid common mistakes during research.

Moreover, while Daxue Consulting is a fully independent entity, Kima has been supporting and watching closely the development of its major China-based investment in China.

The French Lab is a non-profit organisation that gather young professionals around entrepreneurship and sharing projects in China. The aim of The French Lab is to be a hub for projects and works as an incubator of new initiatives.
