Description: The client, a new champagne producer, wanted to better understand the Chinese champagne market, to prepare the launch of a new champagne in China. The objectives were: to understand the competitive environment for champagne in China and the Chinese consumer’s preferences, as well as issue design recommendations.

  • Benchmarking of competitors through methodologies such as store-checking, to understand the pricing structure and marketing strategies that have been used in China for champagne.
  • Inquiries were made to various businesses and contacts that are directly dealing with the industry to find out the industry know-how on distribution/design/consumer preference

We were able to organize competitors’ information based on our researches to tailor a detailed entrance strategy for our client that enables him to have a clear understanding on how to prepare and execute his product’s entrance into China.
