Focus on ESCP in China

ESCP Europe is short for Ecole supérieure de commerce de Paris – Europe. Set up in 1819, it is the first business school in the world, and raised generations of political leaders and leading thinkers. ESCP has been regarded as one of the best business schools in Europe, and is one of the three best business schools in France. Its education of management has always been nominated as among the best 3 in the world. What makes ESCP Europe so Great?

ESCP has 5 campuses, in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Turin. The school takes the elite education system which is traditional in France, and every year, 500 students are admitted via fierce competition in the exams. Now, it has about 13,000 students in Europe in total. The school takes internationalization as its character, and has a lot of international communications. Students have to master at least 3 languages, and to graduate, they must have experiences abroad.

Every year, over 4,000 students and over 5,000 enterprise managers come to ESCP to receive education. Most of its previous graduates have found jobs in marketing, finance or consulting institutions. It has, up to now, 40,000 alumni who come from over 200 countries to actively participate in the finance and business industry in over 150 countries and districts. The school has also established long term cooperation relationships with enterprises both in France and abroad. This gives its students a global advantage in their future career development. With a history of near 200 years, ESCP raised many famous people, including the former prime minister of France, Jean-Pierre Raffarin, the CEO of Chivas Regal, Christian PORTA, and the CFO of Unilever, Sven KIRKERUP.

ESCP has 170 professors, all of whom have a Ph.D. degree, 45 visiting scholars, and 700 part time professors from universities all over the world. Master in Management, which is the core program of ESCP, has high standards for enrollment. 81.46% applicants are not admitted. It has double master programs with 18 famous universities, including Cornell, and has exchange programs with 76 famous universities in 33 countries. Its graduates are aged 25, and have on average working experience of 16 months. 38% of them have double diplomas. The employment rate of its students 1 year after graduation is 100%.

How can ESCP Europe help you start a career in China?

ESCP has been positively looking for cooperation with universities in China. The business school of Xiamen University(厦门大学) has begun cooperation with ESCP in a program called MEB, i.e. Master in European Business.  Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics(北京航空航天大学) has been looking for opportunities to have EMBA and MBA exchange programs with ESCP. Also, Lingnan(University) College of Sun Yat-sen University(中山大学岭南(大学)学院) has already had exchange programs with ESCP. Students are sent to ESCP for a semester’s study. Also, the Antai School of Economics and Management in Shanghai Jiaotong University(上海交通大学) has MPAcc exchange programs with ESCP. Also, ESCP is now looking for cooperation with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics(上海财经大学).
