Nowadays, with its innovative teaching method, it has won universal praise from world renown enterprises and education administration agencies.

Courses offered

Located in Paris, the school offers BBA, Master and MBA degrees to its students. At first, the courses were largely focused in finance and trading, and now it offers a series of courses in business and administration.

Essec has become the cradle of many French elite administrators and business people. The CEO of Bouygues Telecom, the CEO of Coca Cola in France, the CEO of Unilever, the president of KMPG, president of Hernessy, are all products of Essec. Now, the main curriculum famous for its strict standard for entering has been transformed into an MBA curriculum, and 20% of the courses are also given in English. In addition, more and more overseas students add more global perspective to its courses. These all reflect Essec’s efforts in preparing its students for the coming globalization trend of business. Essec is also the only senior business school in France that has MBA courses in international hotel administration, international luxury brand management, and international agriculture food administration.

Essec in Asia

In the past 20 years, Essec turned its attention to Asia, specifically targeting China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. In 2004, it established its Asia center in Singapore, which provides Asian students and administrators with professional training about Asia.

China has played an important role in the development of Essec. It has been over 20 years since Essec first began to cooperate with China’s main universities. Essec MBA started its expansion into Asia with Beijing International Studies University(北京第二外国语学院). Later, in 1988, it started exchange programs with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(香港科技大学). In February, 2002, Essec cooperated with Guanghua Management School of Peking University to set up exchange programs and double major programs. Two years later, it started exchange programs with Tsinghua University. In the same year, the BBA program of ESSEC, EPSCI, for the first time delivered a double major program, cooperating with Tongji University(同济大学) in Shanghai(上海).

With China’s efforts in reform in its economy and industry, it is inevitable that it will raise elite administrators for modern enterprises. Essec, with its outstanding teaching experience and stress of not only professional skills but also ethics, will help China to train more excellent future business people.
