Global Entrepreneurship Training Programs (GET),Consists of Curriculum Lectures held by UC Berkeley and Stanford, GBSC Business Plan Competition and the CHANGE Challenge Plan, this program will provide a great opportunity for students to best tap their potential in multicultural communication and lay a solid foundation for studying abroad in the future. In order to offer the students a better experience of studying abroad, we as well arrange some other activities such as Company Visits, City Touring, Campus Activities, etc. Moreover, each group will be assigned a foreign mentor to help them blend into the local community. By cooperating with teammates and taking part in competitions, students have the chance to win the scholarship.
Up to August, 2012, the series of GET program have been successfully held for ten times. During the programs, the students not only benefited from the courses a lot, some of our previous participants visited the world famous companies as well, including Google, Juniper, Apple, Intel, NBC and so on. Moreover, they’ve also got the opportunities to visit the emerging start-ups of Silicon Valley Enterprises such as Anybots, to communicate with the management board and to get a better understanding of the mode of operation and development path. In addition, the participants also took part in the study workshops to discuss the experience of studying abroad, and to clear their future goals. All students involved in GET programs have been invited to join in our GYDO Alumni, so that they could provide help and guidance for more students later in future.
The students will receive their certificates signed by the professors at the end of the program, and the winning team will also receive a generous scholarship and the winning team certificate. Individuals who performed very well during the program will as well receive personal merit scholarships.
